I have not yet figured this out and oh, it is making me frantic to be re-centered and present and fulfilled. It's been putting out figurative fires for months now and there is no end in sight. I come to your words of wisdom when I am spiraling. Thank you for your generosity in sharing. <3

Oh, the re-entry is hard. I, too, struggle with those liminal places--wanting to hang on to the peace I can (usually) always muster in solitude and yet wanting to connect with others and the world also, knowing that it’s hard for me to hold both of those poles in balance. But, there’s the work, right? I always love your words! Thank you xxx

This is said so beautifully and so true for me as well. Life within the society of today does feel like a battlefield; do difficult to navigate with the constant bombardments from the news and the lightening fastness of everything these days. I felt so at peace with your descriptions of the snowy countryside, the blank canvas. This image will help me with the strange weather we have been having, rain instead of snow in February in central NY. Thank you, Alice, so beautiful.

I love the metaphor of mooring lines untying as the new adventure begins.

Yesterday, we took our boat out for a sea trial as it's been in boat hospital for the last month and on our return, I couldn't reach up from my 5 foot 3 height to loop the bow line over the pylon no matter how much I tried and so we drifted off our mark. Metaphor for life...
