Productivity... in some ways it's a giant lie perpetuated by "progress"...progress of one's art, of one's career, even of one's spiritual journey. It's a trap in so many ways. But growth seems a different perspective, more a blossoming without the frantic actions based on fear. All that being said, I view winter as a perfect time to pause and make sure I'm in growth and not in progress.
Yes, the world is so full of information and inspiration at every turn--and that’s what I am taking a break from this winter. You’d think inspiration would always be a good thing, but it, too, can become too much, drowning out my own voice. I am carefully curating who and what I am engaging with right now, and becoming ever more clear about my values and what I truly want and need in order to grow more deeply. And you, my dear friend along the journey, are like a compass tuner, pointing me to true north over and over. Love the picture of your happy menagerie ambling to the cafe in the beautiful countryside x
Oh gosh, that sounds wonderful! A dream.

Beautifully written! I loved our time in Portugal and the peaceful walks along cobbled streets. :)

Horses, dogs and peace . It wouldn't get much better.
